COLORS
(scroll down for Shapes) Most people dream in colors, but at times
some stand out more than others. Colors are symbolic and their symbolism
is part of culture. We communicate with color and relate ideas with
them. For example, a bride wears white and black is worn at funerals.
Colors also represent energy. The meaning that you give to the colors
in your dreams depends on the meaning that you give to those colors
in daily life. If you "see red" when you are angry, then red symbolizes
anger and not passion for you. Some generalizations have been made as
to the meaning of colors in dreams. They are as follows
Black: The Hidden. Ignorance. Absence of white. Mystery. ~ Negativity, i.e. fear, anxiety, hatred, resentment, guilt, depression (no hope / faith). When mixed or associated with other colors it adulterates their meaning e.g. darker shades of red, blue yellow, etc.. Black and White indicates Intolerance, simplistic extremism - ‘If something is not good it must be evil.' ~ Also: Depression, sadness, despair. Some believe it symbolizes hidden sexual desires. Blue: Spiritual, calm, moody (feeling blue), tranquilizer. Associated with will power or control of self. Cool to cold. ~ Spiritual or religious belief or devotion. A positive color indicating the presence of, or need of, religious or spiritual support. This color also brings a sense of, or need for, calm and serenity. The deeper the color, the deeper the spiritual essence of the dream. ~ spirituality, optimism, positive thoughts, communication. Some believe that when you see it in your dreams, you may be in the presence of your spiritual guide. Brown: Fertile, organic, practical. That which is not pretty in itself but out of which beauty can grow. ~ Depression; dullness; earthiness; excrement; concealment. Idioms: brown study; browned off. Gold: The overcomer of the earth. The crown. The superconscious spiritual truths brought into reality of conscious life in the earth. Symbol of the higher self. Sun's direct illumination. Superconscious spiritual truths coming unfiltered and unreflected by subconscious directly into consciousness. "Fruits of the spirit" manifesting on earth. Warm. Also: This color indicates the presence of or the desire for higher learning or teaching. On a spiritual level, it can represent the presence of a spiritual teacher.
Gray: Lead or Battleship Gray indicates
depression and a lack of joy or brightness in a situation or individual.
One's thinking is clouded. Light or Smoke Gray indicates fear, like
the mist that hangs low over the tombstones of a graveyard. It reflects
the fear many have for death and cemeteries. The dream may indicate
only a temporary fear.
Green: Blue combined with yellow. The tranquil spirit of blue with the cheery creativity of yellow. A balanced color denoting health. The color of regeneration and growth. Harmony. Ugly shades of green which almost make you sick are the opposite and can indicate pessimism and deceit. Cool and warm depending on hue. ~ money, jealousy, health concerns, love. Also: Matters of health. The shade of green indicates the presence of an issue dealing with healing or health. A deep rich shade, such as Emerald or Forrest green, indicates wellness of the body. If the shade of green is light, such as Apple or Lime green, the issue of the dream is physical vitality. If the shade is Olive green or Gray green, the dream indicates deceit and falsehood.
Lavender: Traditionally, the color
lavender symbolizes mother-consciousness, mother love, and working yourself
out of karmic situation.
Orange: Combination of red and yellow. Active and creative. Frenzy of activity. Sour and sweet combined as in the taste of the fruit of the orange. Warm to hot. ~ This color represents pride, ambition and the ego. Self-image is an issue in this dream. Pink: Pink usually symbolizes health and good feelings. It is a traditionally a feminine color, and some feel that it connotes love. Pink is soft and fuzzy, like girls! ~ Joy, Love, Warmth. Purple: Combination of red and blue. The highest vibration (fastest frequency) of the visible light spectrum. Denotes knowledge of the spiritual in conscious existence. The color of earthly rule - royalty. Cool and warm depending on hue. Also: Since purple combines the colors blue and red, it is an ancient symbol for Wisdom and Knowledge. And purple symbolizes Divine protection, the nobility or a member of a royal family, healing, telepathic capacities. At one time, wearing purple was restricted to royalty. Conversely, purple can also symbolize arrogance (especially spiritual arrogance), the misuse of psychic powers, and someone who is almost totally ego-centered.Red: The most physical or active of color _ slowest frequency of the visible light spectrum. Life force, power, anger, violence, stimulant, danger, stop. Full of life. Relating to conscious existence. Hot. Also: Dark or Blood Red indicates anger between two people, an issue that is volatile, or a hot- tempered person. Bright or Cherry indicates love expressed between two people and happiness associated with a loving relationship, the passion between lovers, or the object of a deep love.
Silver: Spiritual truths. Intuitive
from the superconscious. The moon relating to the subconscious reflecting
the light of the superconscious. Often associated with nautical things
in my dreams which also are spiritual truths. Cool. ~ A symbol for the
feminine, intuitive powers of the psyche.

In my dreams it represents a seeming waste of time but one that leads to a rounding of the square which is a symbol of perfection.. In other words by completing the square the imperfect is perfected. There is pessimism and boredom associated with the endeavor. Colloquialism: "filling squares" Star: With 5 points: The five senses, five being the number of man's consciousness.
