  Sleep hath it's own world,
And a wide realm of wild reality.
And dreams in their development have breath,
And tears, and tortures, and the touch of joy.

--The Dream. Lord Byron (1788-1824), English poet.

G

Game: Is this a game you often play and you are good at or are you being forced to play and one in which you don't do well? Are you sure of winning or afraid of losing? Find the relation with this game and a situation in your waking life. There are probably more clues in your dream as to what the game is really about.

Garbage or Trash: That is the un-truths and complexes found in the subconscious which are being culled out or need to be.

Gasoline: Can be fuel or hope to continue life's journey. But usually means volatile emotions (liquid). See Transportation.

Gateways & Doorways: Crossing into new territory having completed the traversing of the old territory.

Geese and Ducks: Migratory birds which imprint on, flock and follow the leader or peer group. Same as Cattle.

Genitals: This is an obvious sexual dream which brings out your attitudes and concerns in regard to your sexuality. If you are feeling guilty, stressed or concerned about your sexual activities (or a lack of them), they will be reinforced in these explicit dreams containing sexual organs. Dreaming about sexual organs usually has something to do with sex --BUT not necessarily, so consider all the details.

Goat: Surefootedness.

Gold: Anything made of gold in a dream belongs to your Higher Self. As the transformation of base metals to gold was the alchemist’s ultimate goal, so is the realization and integration of all psychic fragments into your true Self the ultimate goal of dream alchemy within your Unconscious.  ~ Something valuable to you. Have you "struck gold" in some way?

Gorilla: Primitive development, immature intelligence.

Gift: Surprise unveiling of something unknown. ~ Initiation, job well done

Glass: That which is fragile and breakable.  ~ Very important things are made out of glass. Amongst them are windows that allow sunshine into our homes, drinking glasses, seeing glasses, etc. Glass makes our lives more comfortable and we rarely, if ever give it any thought. Consider the details of your dream and try to figure out how this dream about glass is relevant to you. If glass is shattered in your dream, it could symbolize breaking of both negative and positive things. For example, it could represent the breaking of illusions, denial, and deception. On the more negative side, it could also represent the shattering of dreams or hopes that a person has been holding close to his heart. Old dream interpretation books say that looking through a clear glass is a sign of good luck and through a dirty glass symbolizes domestic difficulties.

Grass: Pertaining to foundation and circumstances of material life, trappings, possessions. Needs cultivating/trimming/care.

Gun: Taking aim. Attempting to score a hit. ~ Violence and harm are feared. If being worn, or at hand, it shows a fear that you may need protection. If facing you, it indicates a sense of immediate harm to you. If in your hand, it shows a desire to harm another. ~ Instrument for an irrevocable act of aggression, either to take by force from another, or else to protect oneself from a similar assault.

Also: The gun in your dream could represent several different things, so please pay attention to the details and to the mood of the dream. The gun could symbolize the male sex organ, aggression, harshness, and fear. This dream may have sexual connotations, or your unconscious mind may be telling you not to harbor your negative feelings but express them more freely before they become explosive. On the more positive side of things, the gun could simply represent your need to protect yourself either emotionally or physically or both. If the gun in the dream is used to hurt or kill you or someone else, please consider your current difficulties, hostile feelings or serious arguments, which you may have within yourself or with others.
Also: Penis; male sexuality; anger, confidence in defending oneself against criticism, etc.; fears or anxieties; attitudes we use as a defense against our own emotions or realizations--a man might feel depressed about growing old and defend himself against this with positive thoughts; also the bulldozer emotions we sometimes use against others, like a pistol held to their head. Wealthy men go through painful surgery and spend thousands of dollars to replace lost hair follicles. Needless to say, hair is a valuable dream symbol. It represents physical and spiritual strength. Samson's hair was the source of his strength and virility. In our dreams hair can represent our thoughts, knowledge, and reasoning. White or gray hair represents age and wisdom while body hair may symbolize protection and warmth. If someone you care about is ill in your dream, maybe you are concerned about losing the support and love of that person. ~ Or, have you been acting "ill" towards someone in waking life?

Insects: Little annoyances in life, pests.

K

Killing: A dream of violence suggests a need or desire to put an end to a relationship or situation. It denotes unreleased anger and the desire to end something in order to begin anew.
Also: If you are killing someone in your dreams, you are probably expressing hostile feelings. Consider this an opportunity to look at your negative feelings and decide what would be the best and the least destructive way to address them. If you are a witness to a killing, you may be reflecting on changes going on around you that you don't particularly like.

Murder: The violent taking of another's life indicates unrepressed anger and the desire to end a present situation or relationship, in order to open to a new one. It is symbolic and not literal.

Also: A hint that you are "killing off" something in your life. May be representative of a change that is or is about to occur as well. Obviously what or who you were killing is going to be an important factor in the interpretation.

Also: Each of us is implicated in killing--by denying, repressing, controlling some part of our own nature. These denied areas of our own sensitivity or potential can fortunately be resurrected through self awareness of our deed. If we flee from a murderer, it depicts a fear that is threatening our confidence or something we feel threatened by. Murderous rage in the dreamer: it is observable that repressed sexuality leads to feelings of murderous rage which may not e expressed socially, but do appear in dreams; may also express childhood anger linked with emotional bond with mother being damaged.

Kissing is usually an indication of warmth, affection, and happiness. If you don't receive enough love and affection in your daily life, then this could be a compensatory dream, where the dreamer is comforting himself. If you are kissing the object of your affection, the dream could be a form of wish fulfillment. Superstition based interpretations say that if you are kissing strangers, you may have a need to conquer. If the kissing is insincere, you are pretentious while if you see your partner kissing someone else, you may be afraid of infidelity.

Also: Kissing or being kissed in a dream can hold many meanings. Even if the person you are kissing in your dream or whom is kissing you is someone you are attracted to, the dream holds deeper meaning. Generally, kissing dreams are about people you would never find attractive in life or consider kissing.

Also: Kissing means "information" being given or shared. Where the kiss is committed is the key to it's meaning. A kiss on the lips (closed) could mean that you are being asked for information that you know or feel should be kept "secret". A kiss on the mouth (open) might mean that you are willing to share information that is a "secret" or willing to hear someone share a secret with you. A heavy kiss (tongue) indicates that someone is trying to put words in your mouth. What you say may be "twisted." A kiss on the top of the head is a "blessing". A kiss on the foot means that you are being difficult to deal with.

Also: Depending on who/what is being kissed, it can represent spiritual devotion/reverence; worldly emotion/passion; respect and chivalry (kissing a woman's hand); betrayal (the Judas kiss); a malevolent influence ("kiss of death"); hostility ("kiss off"). In fairy tales a kiss can bring forgetfulness, or awakening/transformation (the prince kisses Sleeping Beauty).
