ALPHABETICAL
P - S

The dream is a statement, uninfluenced by
consciousness, expressing the dreamer's inner
truth and reality as it really is: not as I conjuecture
it to be, and not as I would like it to be, but as it is.

--Carl Jung

P

Pachinko Game Machine: an endeavor where no skill will help and you are at the mercy of destiny because there are no flippers. Purely chance. A draw of the cards would indicate the same.

Panic: The feeling of panic suggests lack of control and power and confusion. If the primary emotion in your dream was panic, consider the details and try to understand its cause. You may be feeling helpless in some situation or unable to make a clear decision.

Pants: Being in control of your life and destiny. "Wearing the pants". Possibly a male symbol only.

Parachute: protection or alternate plan.

Party: Celebration of growth achieved.

Parking Lot/Garage: Traveling in a vehicle generally can represent our journey through life, or a portion of it. If you find yourself in a garage or a parking lot, two different inferences can be made. Consider the dream's content and mood in it as well as your current dilemma or situation in life.

The parked car could represent a period of inactivity and indecision. The dream could be pointing out that you have been idle for a period of time and that it may be good time to "get a move on."

The more positive interpretation of this dream might be that the parked car is symbolic of a reflective period or mood. You may be in "park" for a while so that you can rest, relax, and regroup while thinking things over. Or you may be stuck in your daily routine and need to slow down your pace, park yourself, take some time to relax from your daily activities.

To dream that you cannot find a parking space, indicates your inability to find your place in life. You may still be on your quest to find your talent or niche where you belong. Alternatively, it may reflect your busy life and the lack of time you have.

Passenger: When you are the passenger in any type of vehicle, it generally symbolizes you are assuming a passive rather than an active role in the situation, that you are letting some other part of you or someone or something else take control and responsibility for getting you where you want to go. How you feel about being a passenger will give you your clue about whether this is a productive or unproductive thing at the time. Passenger can also symbolize that you are not taking responsibility for your actions on a day-to-day basis, or that you would like not to have to do so. But dreaming of being a passenger, or preferring to be one when you are awake, can also symbolize that you are very comfortable with the situation, and that you are literally willing to go along for the ride, to see where the driver takes you, maybe even take a back seat concerning this particular situation. How's the view from where you are? Are you comfortable with the driver taking control? Passenger can also be a great pun. Do you feel that you are being driven? Are you about to get taken for a ride? Are you taking a back seat? Do you deserve to be chauffeured about? Is it time to turn over the reins to someone else or some other part of yourself? How does the passenger feel about driving in general? What does this remind you of? See Transportation.

Penis: The male sex organ is symbolic of fertility, power, and energy. Your gender and sexual orientation play a part when interpreting this dream. Are you dealing with issues of sexual orientation, power, or aggression? Answering these questions will enable you to interpret your dream.

In a woman's Dream: One's relationship with or desire for a mate; relationship with one's own male self--ambition, work capability, aggression, intellect. Depicts the relationship with genital sexuality with one's partner.

Photos, Photographers, Cameras: The process of development ongoing to bring superconscious truths into conscious awareness.

Also: This could be representative of your desire for things to stay as they are. You may be trying to remember something as well. If you are destroying a photograph, you may be cutting ties to that part of your past (what is it a picture of?) and beginning anew. ~ The need to be objective about subject matter of dream.

Also: Seeing old or even unfamiliar pictures in your dream may be a reflection of how you remember certain parts of your life. These pictures may represent longing for a time that has passed. However, other interpretations can be made. Although this dream may be difficult to interpret, the dreamer may need to put significant amount of effort into its understanding. Some believe that since a photograph represents something real, it could represent a deception or distortion of some kind. Someone may be trying to sell something to you and is covering up the truth, or you may be doing the covering yourself. New Age thinking points out that dreaming of pictures means you have not learned a particular lesson in life. The dream may be calling attention to past events and reminding you that you are making the same errors all over again.

Pig: Gluttony. Has also represented a person's view of society, as gluttons for money or sensation.

Pilot: Pilots often symbolize a teacher or special guide of some kind, and frequently your Higher Self, or some other higher guiding part of you. Pilots have the ultimate responsibility for all other objects on the vehicle they are piloting. What is the cargo? This is another good pun. Are you about to begin a pilot project? Which Plane are you trying to pilot or master? What's your flight plan? Who is the pilot? Male or female? Why? What does he or she look like? How are they dressed? How competent are they? How much training did it take to receive the license? Or do they have one? What kind of vehicle is being piloted? What direction is it going? Where did it start from and what is its destination? Who would normally trust their life or cargo to this pilot? Why? (See Transportation)

If you are estranged from your children, then the plants can be seen as a representative for your your children.

Also: A dream of growing plants most likely refers to your own growth. Were the flowers developing quickly and the buds opening? If so, you are probably opening to new developments in your life. Dying or withered plants may suggest that you need to work on yourself and your attitudes.

If the police are chasing you, it suggests that you may be feeling some guilt about something that you have done or have been thinking of doing. The police could be addressing Karmic Law as well as the laws in our physical world. If you are feeling that you can't meet all of your obligations and fear repercussions due to an unmet commitment, the police may be an unwelcome sight. On a more positive note and depending on the details of your dream, the police could symbolize support and protection. Your emotional response to the dream will provide you with good clues to interpreting this dream accurately. Old dream interpretation books say that dreaming about police is an indication that you will obtain unexpected assistance with a current problem.
